Job Description

1. EXCAVATOR OPERATORS (20 POSTS) Company: Jin Dong Mining Job Title: Excavator Operator Number of Posts: 20 Job Location: Zimbabwe Job Description Jin Dong Mining is inviting applications from suitably qualified, experienced and safety-conscious individuals to fill 20 Excavator Operator positions. The successful candidates will be responsible for operating excavators and other heavy earthmoving equipment to support mining, excavation, material handling and construction operations. The ideal candidates should have practical experience operating excavators in mining, quarrying, construction or heavy industrial environments. Duties and Responsibilities -Monitor machine performance and report mechanical faults or defects immediately. -Maintain proper operating procedures to minimise equipment damage and downtime. -Work closely with other machine operators, truck drivers and mining personnel. -Follow all occupational health, safety and environmental regulations. -Ensure proper housekeeping around the operating area. -Maintain daily equipment operation records and report completed tasks. -Observe designated working zones and avoid unsafe operating conditions.

Requirements

-Valid excavator operator licence or recognised heavy equipment operating certificate. -Demonstrable experience operating excavators in mining, quarrying or construction environments. -Knowledge of excavation techniques and heavy machinery operating procedures. -Understanding of mining safety standards and occupational health requirements. -Ability to identify basic mechanical problems. -Physically fit and capable of working in demanding industrial environments. -Ability to work shifts, including weekends and extended hours when required. -Previous experience in an iron ore mine, steel manufacturing plant or large-scale mining operation will be an added advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities 1. HR Administration Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department. Maintain and update employee personal files and records. Assist with preparation of employment contracts, appointment letters and other HR documents. Ensure that employee records are properly filed and kept confidential. Assist in preparing HR reports and departmental correspondence. 2. Recruitment and Selection Assist in coordinating recruitment and selection activities. Prepare job advertisements and organise interview schedules. Receive, screen and organise job applications. Communicate interview arrangements to shortlisted candidates. Assist with onboarding and orientation of newly recruited employees. 3. Employee Attendance and Leave Administration Maintain employee attendance and absence records. Assist in monitoring employee timekeeping and shift attendance. Process leave applications and maintain leave records. Assist in preparing attendance reports for payroll purposes. Follow up on employee absenteeism and related administrative issues. 4. Employee Relations Assist with handling employee enquiries and general HR matters. Support the HR Manager in coordinating disciplinary and grievance procedures. Help communicate HR policies and workplace procedures to employees. Assist in maintaining proper documentation relating to employee relations cases. 5. Training and Development Assist in organising employee training sessions and workshops. Maintain employee training records. Coordinate training schedules and attendance registers. Support employee induction and orientation programmes. 6. General HR Support Assist with preparation of payroll-related employee information. Support the coordination of employee welfare activities. Ensure timely submission of HR documents and reports. Perform other administrative duties assigned by the Human Resources Manager.
