3. Avoid overseas transactions, both in sending money and receiving products.

4. Refrain from accepting checks as payment.

5. Verify the identity of the person you're dealing with using reliable sources for their name, address, and phone number.

6. Maintain records of all communications and details related to the transaction.

7. If an offer seems too good to be true, it likely is – proceed with caution.
