Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following posts: VICE CHANCELLOR’S OFFICE 1. INTERNAL AUDITOR (1 POST) Duties and Responsibilities -Participating and development and implementation of Annual Internal Audit Plan -Planning and executing risk-based audit engagements and compliance reviews. -Compiling comprehensive audit reports for the audited areas. -Conducting follow up reviews on past audit issues. -Performing adhoc investigations and other duties as assigned by the Chief Internal Auditor.

Requirements

-Bachelors’ degree in Accounting /Auditing. -Master’s degree in Accounting/Auditor. -At least 5 years’ experience. -Certified Internal Auditor {CIA}. Or any recognised professional qualification is an added advantage

BOILER OPERATOR SUPERVISOR (1 POST) Duties and Responsibilities The Boiler Operator Supervisor overseas the operations, maintaining and safety of all boiler systems used in tobacco curing. The role ensures efficient heat supply to the curing burns, supervising boiler operators, and maintaining compliance with safety operational standards to support high quality tobacco production. The following are the key responsibilities: -Supervising and coordinating daily activities of boiler operators and maintenance of staff. -Overseeing operations of boilers to ensure consistent temperature and pressure for tobacco curing. -Planning and monitoring boiler usage schedules in line with curing timelines. -Ensuring proper start-up, operation, and shutdown of all boiler systems. -Inspecting boilers, pipes, valves, and heating systems regularly. -Troubleshooting complex mechanical and operational faults and ensure timely resolution. -Monitoring fuel consumption and implementing cost effective fuel usage strategies. -Maintaining accurate records of boiler operations, maintenance and safety checks. -Training and mentoring boiler operators on safe and efficient work practices. -Enforcing compliance with health and safety, and environmental regulations. -Ensuring proper heat distribution across all curing barns.

2. Stores Issuing Clerk An exciting opportunity has arisen at Khayah Cement Zimbabwe for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to join the Stores Department. Duties and Responsibilities The successful applicant will, among other key responsibilities, be required to: -Receive, check and verify approved Stores Requisition, ensuring correct cost centres, cost codes and quantities before issuing stock. -Pick, count and issue materials, spares, consumables and tools to user departments accurately and promptly. -Ensure all stock issues are supported by authorised documentation and maintain accurate filing of issue notes and related records. -Apply First-In-First-Out and First-Expired-First-Out principles when issuing stock, as applicable. -Record all issues accurately in the inventory management system and reconcile physical issues against system balances daily. -Monitor stock levels and promptly advise the Inventory Controller when items reach minimum or reorder levels. -Participate in daily, weekly, monthly and annual stock counts and cycle counts; investigate and report stock variances, shortages, overages or damaged items. -Ensure stock is properly labelled, stored, stacked and preserved, maintaining accurate inventory records and stock availability updates. -Prepare and submit reports on stock issued, quantities, inventory balances and any discrepancies or incidents. -Provide effective service and communication to internal departments, responding to queries and resolving issuance issues efficiently. -Maintain a clean, organised and safe stores area, use PPE, follow safe lifting and handling procedures, and comply with company Health, Safety and -Environmental requirements.
